Touché solar cell column installed in Aahus, Denmark

Aarhus Municipality has selected Touché solar cell column from Alfred Priess A/S for a bike path project in Studstrup-Skæring.Touché solar cell column is supplied with a Plug & Play configuration, a cable-free solution that requires only a foundation with integrated batteries. The integrated solar cells in the Touché column charge the battery during daytime and draw power from the batteries in the evening and night hours. Through an integrated antenna in the Touché column the Aarhus Municipality can communicate with the column via the internet. It is possible to configure light profiles, get information about battery capacity and activate alarms and bug reports via a website that the customer gets access to when they purchase a Touché solar cell column.
With the Plug & Play solution Aarhus Municipality ensured light on the bicycle path and saved 500 meters of cabling. With a lifetime of the battery for more than 5 years, the Aarhus Municipality can look forward to maintenance free operation for that period.
An energy-efficient LED luminaire from Philips Lighting was chosen for the Touché solar cell column.
